Vientiane Sightseeing & Buddha Park
Start the day by visiting Wat Si Muang, renowned for its supernatural power. Then, head to Buddha Park, also known as Xieng Khuan, where you’ll discover over 200 unusual Buddhist and Hindu statues. Continue your exploration with a visit to That Luang, the holiest site in Laos. This temple, constructed by King Setthathirat in the 16th century, gleams in the sun with its imposing golden spire.
Next, climb the stairs of Patuxai, the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane, for a panoramic view of the city. Carry on your tour along Lane Xang Avenue, passing by the tranquil Wat Sisaket, the only temple left intact after the Siamese (Thai) invasion in 1828. Finally, explore the nearby Wat Phra Keo, serving as a religious museum with a collection of Lao and Khmer artworks. Conclude the day with a leisurely walk along the Mekong River at sunset. Vientiane - Vang Vieng
After breakfast, take the express train to Vang Vieng, a peaceful little town nestled along the Nam Song River. Upon checking into your hotel, explore the famous Tham Jang caves, once used as a refuge by locals against Chinese invaders. Then, cross the river to Ban Huai Ngai, a charming village where you can discover different local ways of life. In the late afternoon, return to town to enjoy a panoramic view of the river at sunset. Night in Vang Vieng.

Vang Vieng - Luang Prabang
After breakfast, embark on an exploration of Tham Phu Kham caves, beautiful limestone caverns surrounded by forest. Along the way, meet local villagers and learn about their daily lives. In front of the caves, you’ll find a small natural pool for swimming and cooling off. After spending the day in the caves and the surrounding area, return to Vang Vieng to catch the train to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed city. Night in Luang Prabang.

Discover Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall
Early in the morning, witness the almsgiving ritual, a unique tradition in Laos where monks collect offerings, often in the form of sticky rice, from devout residents. Afterward, explore the morning market near the former Royal Palace, where vendors offer fresh products, handmade crafts, and textiles. These experiences provide a unique and authentic cultural immersion.
After breakfast, visit the Royal Palace Museum, housing a variety of interesting artifacts. Then, head to the beautiful Wat Xiengthong, a classic example of Lao architecture with its roofs almost touching the ground. Continue to Kuang Si Waterfall, where you can refresh yourself in natural pools or hike along forest trails. You can also visit the nearby Bear Rescue Center, which houses Asian bears. On the way back to Luang Prabang, stop by the Ock Pop Tock Craft Center, where you can explore high-quality traditional Laotian weaving. The day ends with a climb up the 329 steps of Phousi Hill for a beautiful view of the city. Explore the famous night market, where you can find a lovely selection of locally handmade textiles. Luang Prabang - Nong Khiaw - Muong Ngoy
After breakfast, embark on an adventure to the remote mountainous region of northern Laos, heading to Nong Khiaw. The lush and rugged mountain landscape, combined with colorful local inhabitants, makes this an unforgettable experience. Upon arrival in Nong Khiaw, visit Tham Pha Thok Cave, where local villagers hid during the Indochina War. Then, take a cruise on the Nam Ou River to Muong Ngoy. The rest of the day is free to explore. Night in Muang Ngoy.

Muong Ngoy - Nong Khiaw
After breakfast, we begin a 30-minute hike to visit Tham Kaang, the ancient cave that sheltered local villagers during the Indochina War (1960-1972). It has never been damaged and is set in a beautiful environment. After visiting the cave, we continue our walk to Ban Houay Boor, a village inhabited by Khmu and T’ai Deng ethnic groups, where we have lunch with the villagers. Then, we continue the hike to Ban Na, a village of the T’ai Deng ethnic group. After exploring their work and living conditions, we return to Muang Ngoi and sail to Nong Khiaw for the night.

Overnight in Nong Khiaw

Nong Khiaw - Pak Ou - Luang Prabang
After breakfast, we embark on a car journey through stunning and natural hilly mountains to Luang Prabang. Along the way, we make a brief stop to visit the village of Ban Na Yang, where the famous Thai Lui tribe gathers in an old wooden hall to make silk and cotton clothing. We reach Ban Pakou around lunchtime and board a cruise on the Mekong River, offering panoramic views of the tranquil countryside. Along the way, we stop at the Pak Ou Caves, sanctuaries consisting of two large caverns, both housing thousands of Buddha images. Night in Luang Prabang.
